BOSTON STORM FC JR ACADEMY OPEN TO U-6 TO U-9 PLAYERS BOYS AND GIRLS
Continuing our tradition of developing players and providing high level training and playing opportunities
Academy Introduction and Program Organization
Our staff is made up of Elite Coaches with High level playing experience and they will be coaching your child. All players are broken up into small groups according to their age and ability level. The goal of the program is development of technique, soccer skills and an introduction to individual and small group tactics which are the foundation of soccer. Skills that will be taught include dribbling, passing, collecting/receiving balls, shooting, fast footwork training and how to dribble past an opponent. Actual small sided soccer games conclude each and every training session.
What makes our program unique and successful?
The most important age group for development of skill and technique is ages 5-9. Skill is the most important component to becoming a successful soccer player and for enjoyment and success in the game of soccer. Unfortunately, many young players do not get the proper instruction at that age level as many youth coaches have not played the game and can not demonstrate soccer skills properly. Young players learn by seeing someone else demonstrate a technique properly and then the young player imitates the skill shown in the demonstration and repeats it in practice. Our staff of Elite Coaches with high level playing backgrounds gives our Academy Players crystal clear and correct demonstrations of all the soccer skills and techniques that your child needs to learn to become a successful soccer player. We use Demonstrations NOT Explanations when teaching soccer techniques and skill.
All players are accepted into our program and no player is cut. A foundation of our program is a well-paced environment using fun game like activities that develop technique, skill and a love of the game. Our small-sided games focus on developing soccer skills, fun and sportsmanship.
Goal of the Program
The Junior Academy helps young players develop the necessary soccer skills and understanding of the game of soccer to make the transition from recreational soccer to competitive program while instilling a positive attitude, respect for opponents, teammates and coaches as well as developing a love of the game in a positive, fun environment
